North South Foundation (NSF) is a volunteer driven non-profit organization working since 1989 in the USA and in India from 2004 at Hyderabad, Telangana. NSF's mission is to support students to achieve academic excellence and leadership skills. It supports students in the USA in winning the spelling bee, science Scripps and other contests. NSF, India is implementing a scholarship program for higher education and the NSF Creative Learning & Leadership (NCL) education initiatives across India in about 1000 schools supporting about 200,000 students. NCL envisions improvement of student learning outcomes and educational standards in India through its assessment driven student learning improvement program. NCL supports the students' learning journey, free of cost, especially for those studying in Government schools, through an online assessment platform, related analytical dashboards, and reports for tracking student, subject, and school performance.

Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to oversee the development of a high-quality Question Bank and scaling the implementation of our education assessment tool designed for school students.
  • Ideally, the candidate should have a strong background in school education and working with government school systems, a fair understanding of curriculum, grade-specific learning outcomes, assessment tools, good experience of working on designing and implementing remedial study programs, digital learning management systems, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Scaling the program: Review, strategize to expand NCL outreach across different school systems in India to cover 1 million students by 2027.
  • Handle multiple stakeholders and multiple responsibilities: Coordinate with NCL Chief Academic Adviser, Product design and Technology verticals, provide regular feedback to them and ensure smooth alignment and timely response to stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Lead, oversee and coordinate all activities relating to Question Bank and Program Implementation verticals; support team to identify/anticipate issues and challenges; delegate and track performance based on metrics, and ensure effective outcome-focused roll-out.
  • Partner Collaboration: Establish structured engagement with key stakeholders including subject matter experts, senior government officers, school administrators and leaders, subject teachers at school level, academic institutions, third party content providers to ensure effective implementation of NCL assessments program goals and quality standards.
  • Training, mentoring: Mentor and build capacities of team members; guide them to develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly action plans and budgets to achieve effective outputs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate data analytics of student participation, performance and share with stakeholders; support evaluation of NCL program implementation to ensure focus on quality and effectiveness and achievement of its intended objectives and outcomes.
  • Be responsible and support NCL communication channels, including websites, social media platforms, monthly newsletter, advocacy initiatives to promote NCL's mission of systematic measuring and improving student learning outcomes and other digital and traditional channels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, humanities, social work, public policy, management, and related fields.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the education sector, proven track record of scaling education programs.
  • Strong oral and written communications, proficiency in English, Hindi, and any other language.
  • Leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage external stakeholders and lead internal teams.
  • Familiar with designing/developing assessment blueprints, education technology sector, particularly with assessment tools and learning platforms, and implementing assessments at scale.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Excel, statistical tools and data analysis, and visualization skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Superior planning, strategizing, marketing skills.
  • Strong project implementation skills and the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and deliver effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams, build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to conduct research, gather data, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to use data to identify gaps, find solutions and drive decisions, present information in a clear and compelling manner.
Work Structure:
  • The engagement is full time, with 6 days workweek.
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Travel extensively to visit schools in both urban and rural areas, meet government officers, school leaders to understand field-level challenges in conducting assessments, student participation, subject teachers' concerns, and work with the NCL team to resolve the same.
