North South Foundation (NSF) is a volunteer driven non-profit organization working since 1989 in the USA and in India from 2004 at Hyderabad, Telangana. NSF's mission is to support students to achieve academic excellence and leadership skills. It supports students in the USA in winning the spelling bee, science Scripps and other contests.

NSF, India is implementing a scholarship program for higher education and the NSF Creative Learning & Leadership (NCL) education initiatives across India in about 1000 schools supporting about 200,000 students. NCL implements the assessment driven student learning improvement program. It supports the student’s learning journey, free of cost, especially for those studying in Government schools, through an online assessment platform. For students studying in private schools, a nominal fee is charged. The NCL technology platform provides analytical dashboards and reports for tracking student, subject, and school performance. NCL assessments initiative is being implemented.

Job Summary:
  • Effective Implementation and coordination of NCL activities in partner schools, both in public as well as private sectors.
  • Maintain close co-operation with the NCL headquarters implementation team, for planning, finalizing of program activities, key deliverables, ramping up registrations, monitoring participation and performance of students.
  • Act as the primary point of contact in the Region for all stakeholders; liaise with senior officers of Government School Boards and Secretaries at the State and Central Government level, private school management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire a good understanding of NCL educational initiatives, objectives, activities and practices to support improvement of student learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with the school managements and Principals to strengthen NCL program implementation and expansion in other government and private schools in concerned jurisdiction.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders, monitor and communicate NCL program status of ongoing activities to Headquarters team.
  • Make extensive field visits to the schools and offices to motivate the school leadership, teachers, and student community for effective use of the NCL platform.
  • Participate in developing and implementing marketing plans and promote NCL assessments and its benefits with different school systems and school leaders, private trust, government aided schools, etc.
  • Induct the schools, facilitate registration of students and teachers, and train the point of contact and teachers on using the platform and resolve implementation difficulties.
  • Handhold schools for effective implementation of NCL assessments of students.
  • Deliver on agreed targets and program activities and submit regular progress reports to NCL Central office.
  • Identify school level champions among administrators, Principals, Subject Teachers and work with them to strengthen NCL implementation.
  • Prepare analytical reports, PowerPoint presentations, brief notes and other records for utilization during school/administrative offices visits, and for advocacy purposes.
  • Organize periodic review meetings, workshops with school Principals, subject teachers and other stakeholders, address emerging issues & challenges, take feedback on technical or operational issues and communicate to Headquarters.
  • Liaise with School Boards (CBSE, State SSC Boards), when required, build positive relationships with Central and Regional Commissioners/Secretaries, Joint/Dy Commissioners of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and with the officers of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and respective State Governments.
Required Qualification, Skills, Experience:
  • Candidates with a postgraduate degree in any subject such as education, social sciences, social work, marketing, public policy, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and Hindi.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 2-5 years of experience in Education and or Project implementation.
  • Capable of working on MS Office, statistical software, etc.
  • Experience of working with Government Schools, student assessments, etc.

  • Willing to travel across all States in the Region.
Work Structure:
  • The engagement is full time, with 6 days workweek.
  • Report to the Senior Program Manager.
  • Travel extensively to visit schools in both urban and rural areas, meet government officers, school leaders to understand field level challenges in conducting of student assessments.
